Fun Factory Charging & Reset Guide
All rechargeable Fun Factory toys charge using the same Click 'n Charge magnetic USB cable. Where they differ is what's on the other end of it: some toys have a sealed battery built in, while the Battery+ range charges replaceable batteries in place. Find your toy's style below.
Sealed Battery Toys
Most of the Fun Factory range has a sealed internal battery, charged via the Click 'n Charge magnetic USB system. It's a universal magnetic connector, so the same cable can be plugged into any USB power source, including laptops and standard wall adapters.
Charging:
- Line up the magnetic charger with the charging point on the toy. It should click into place.
-
The indicator light blinks while charging is in progress.
-
A constant, solid light means the toy is fully charged.
Replaceable Battery Toys (Battery+ Range)
Battery+ toys run on regular batteries by default. Fitted with the optional Hybrid Kit (two rechargeable batteries plus a Click 'n Charge cable), the same magnetic cable charges the batteries in place inside the toy, rather than a sealed internal battery.
Charging:
-
Connect the Click 'n Charge cable to the toy.
-
The indicator light blinks during charging and shows progress in stages before turning solid at full charge.
-
Maximum charging time is 16 hours.
Turning on and off:
-
Press the power button for around half a second to start or stop the toy.
Travel lock:
-
Press the power button for around half a second to activate or deactivate the travel lock.
Saving a favourite setting:
-
While your preferred pattern or intensity is running, hold the FUN button for 2 seconds. The buttons will flash twice to confirm the setting has been saved.
Resetting to factory settings:
-
Hold the FUN button for 4 seconds to clear saved settings and return the toy to its factory defaults.
Bi Stronic Fusion (and similar dual-motor models)
If the toy won't turn on after charging, it may be travel locked rather than faulty.
-
Hold down the FUN button and the button with the larger dot (the shaft control button) together for a few seconds. The toy should buzz briefly to confirm the travel lock has been released, and can then be turned on as normal.
-
Alternatively, holding the power button alone for at least 3 seconds should turn the toy on if travel lock is not active.
Reviving an Extremely Flat Toy
If a toy has been left uncharged for a long time and won't respond at all when plugged in:
-
Connect it to the Click 'n Charge cable and leave it on charge for 24 hours, before checking again. Deeply discharged batteries can sometimes take longer than normal to register as charging.
-
Check the indicator light periodically rather than assuming no light means no charge is happening. Some units take a while to show a blinking light after being very flat.
-
Use the original or an official Fun Factory charging cable rather than a third-party magnetic cable.
-
Avoid leaving it on charge unattended for excessive periods once it does start charging normally.
-
If there's still no response after an extended charge, this points to a battery or hardware fault, and is worth reaching out to us about for warranty support.
